Activity #2 : The first settlers to come to New Zealand must have been really brave! They had to leave their original homes and sail thousands of miles across the ocean on a special boat called a waka to reach New Zealand.

Hey Vuni , Today's the day I am going to set sail and travel across the seas. This , for me is a great opportunity to learn about new things as for the first time ever , I will be sailing in a waka . It's exciting , but at the same time , scary . For I've never been on a waka before . We have sailed across some part of the sea and have seen many exciting things . Like Whales! . We have had some on and off times with the weather but , that wouldn't stop us from getting back to NZ . I have managed to stay safe and I hope to see you the next time I come back .

Another great post. Well done! Lots of settlers would have been both scared and excited, so I like how you mentioned that aspect of their journey.
What are somethings that they might have been looking forward to about landing? I know I would have been looking forward to standing on solid ground again!
