Summer Learning Journey - Week 2 Day 4 : Another World War (1939 - 1945)

Image result for World War 2

At the end of the 1930's , the world has been shaken by yet again another world war . WW2 . This war started on the 1st of september when an army from Germany invaded Poland . Two days later , England and France declared war on germany and WW2 began .

Choose A significant event in WW2 and write down why you think this event is significant in WW2 .

Event #1 - Hitler Dies . Now , Im not saying this just because he's the evil person we believe he is , I'm saying this because Germany started the second war . Germany was his side . So when Hitler died , I think that really turned the tides on the germans when they realised they were going to lose. So I think Poland had this war won.

Event #2 - United Nations Are Officially Born .
Now , The united nations are an organization tasked to create world co-operation to create and maintain order . I actually like this United nations . For one thing , The countries are united and can create world peace for the countries once so that you wouldn't end up having another war on your hands . So thanks for the peace I guess .

  2. Hi LJ,
Firstly I would like to commend you for not just copy and past some facts from the internet, I can see that your post is expressing your opinion. Nevertheless, it's also very important to get the facts right and straight. For this instance specifically, I would like you to do some research and add more details, such as the year of his death, and the circumstances. By the time Hitler committed suicide the tides had already turned for Germany and we can say that the Germany dominance was losing power rapidly.
Furthermore, in order for you to gain full points in this activity I need you to add another event as per activity request: "Choose two key events and find out some more information about what happened on those days. On your blog, write a short summary of two events, including the names of people involved and where the event happened." Could you do that and let me know?

Try to read the info and write your post imagining that you are telling the story to a friend over the phone. You will notice that this simple strategy will help you to summarise events in your own words.
    Kia Kaha,
    Patricia
