Author's Purpose - LJ

This Article is about how watching  too much T.V can affect health.
Who is in this book  ? - The Girl , Heather And Their Parents.
What is happening in this article ? - Both girls are spending too much time on T.V .
When did this happen ? Everyday  for both girls
Where did this happen?
Why were the girls stopped from watching T.V ?
They spend too much time on it and never get to know what's going on outside instead of inside because on the inside it's all technology and video games. But on the outside it's all Chess games  , Netball practice and other sports.
How did this happen ?
They spent too much time on T.V.

Everywhere this girl turns people are telling her to stop watching T.V , she spends too much time on her computer and play too many video games . But she likes it ,always getting lost in the story lines absorbed in others lives  and escaping her own boring one .
She is told to read a book every 30 minutes and the book was Narnia : The Lion , The Witch  And the wardrobe . Her mum found the book's storyline real entertaining and absorbing . If she read it the mum said she would find the storylines more entertaining than the actual movie. But she only liked the movie more than the book but if she read the book the movie would sound boring to her.

She played chess with her grandad and she would hate it . The grandad said that she would find this better than any video game . But because she loved watching and playing on her T.V and Computer she denied the advice given by her grandad thinking that he is just old and boring and would never want to play chess. Her best friend Heather never got away with it too because her mum and dad are making her play a sport - Netball because she also spends too much time on T.V meaning heather giving up her computer chats because she has netball practice. But the good thing is they get to talk face to face.

Her mum reckons she should join netball practice.
and stop using T.V
The girl finally realizes that she should spend only little time on T.V and lots of time bonding with family playing chess and reading books..
