In the years following WW2 , things slowly started returning to normal in New Zealand . Soldiers returned home and started to settle back into their normal lives and national sporting teams like the New Zealand Cricket Team , got back together and started playing matches again . In the late 1940's men and women would go to these matches with men wearing hats and suits with women wearing dresses , hats and gloves .

The Difference Now : In the current year , Suits and Dresses are more likely to be worn at formal events rather than wearing it to a cricket game . What we wear to a cricket game is much different . We wear normal clothes or team clothing to show your team that you support them .
